This is a big question as there are SO many delicious experiments to try!

For whiskey smokers, the preferred types of wood chips include hickory, for its strong flavour, applewood for a sweet note, oak for traditional whiskey like undertones and cherry for a fruitier touch.

You only need a pinch of your favourite wood chips added to the food infuser or cocktail smoker's chamber.  Don't over do it, as it will make it difficult to light.  You would be surprised how little wood chips are required to produce the perfect amount of smoke.

Butane lighter gas is what you need, not lighter fluid. You can pick up a bottle from most tobacconists and hardware stores.  We buy this "Butane Gas" from Bunnings. It comes with several universal filling adaptors, one of which is perfect for the Sixpence Alchemy butane torch.
