Smoked Earl Tom Cocktail

The Earl Tom cocktail was create by Arran Lin from China. He made up one of the 624 entrants in the 2024 Hayman's Original Gin Competition and was runner up. Each year Hayman's Gin challenges professional bartenders from around the world to create original cocktails using their gin. We've taken it a step further, and smoked it.

Smoked Earl Tom Cocktail Ingredients 

  • 60 ml Hayman's Old Tom Gin
  • 25ml Amaro Nonino 
  • 15ml Luxardo Bitter Bianco Liqueur
  • 10ml Giffard Earl Grey Syrup
  • Pinch of apple wood chips
  • Large block or chunky ice

Smoked Earl Tom Cocktail Method

  • Add all ingredients to a mixing glass and stir.
  • Fill a rocks glass with ice, add the Sixpence Alchemy cocktail smoker to the glass and a small pinch of apple wood chips to the chamber. Light the smoker and let the smoke infuse in the glass for approximately 30 seconds.
  • Remove the smoker and pour the cocktail into the rocks glass
